Template #16 Freebie

It has been ages since I've posted a template freebie. Ready to play? It's pretty basic but I'm sure our wonderful readers can do fantastic things with it!


Template is 2 pages, 12x12 inches, 300 ppi.

*Tip: I keep a file on my computer where I occasionally write something interesting about each of my family members- when my son says something funny, or when my husband does something notable, or just what I'm thinking about that day. I use this list in my scrapbooking and it really gives a glimpse of what our lives are like right now. It's interesting to see how our favorite things change over time, or the different jokes my son thinks are funny now compared to a year ago. I really love these kinds of layouts because they tell so much about our family. It will be fun to read this journaling in 5 years, when Austin is 10 years old, or in 20 years when he's 25 and a grown man.

It's that time again...

so I have a new desktop wallpaper to share! This one uses the newest release kit Branding Iron. I am so in love with this kit, in fact first I will share something else that I did with the kit. My Uncle has some property that he calls Cowboy Up. He uses it for family picnics events etc so I used the kit to create some personalized t-shirts for him.
And now on to the wallpaper freebie that you are waiting for. I love this one for a grungy, sepia or black and white photo. Have a ball with it and make it yours!

July Desktop Wallpaper

I usually have this for you a couple of days before the month change but I'm running a little late this month. I do have the desktop wallpaper for you today. I used The Independence kit and add on by Creative Dreams for this. As you can see in my little sample I added I used an extracted photo and a word art to finish mine off. You could also use a frame or a plain matted photo.

June 09 DTW and a party!

Hi everyone! It's nearly the end of May so I have your June Desktop Wallpaper for you! For this month I have made two versions. Pretty much the only difference between them is that one uses pink and the other uses yellow (hit my blog to grab the yellow one) as accents. Here is the pink one, starring my niece. You can grab it here , but don't run off just yet! I have some news you won't want to miss.

On Monday June 1st we are having a PARTY at Creative Dreams. Anne has a new kit coming out and we want to celebrate (otherwise known as an excuse to have a party). Hop on over there for chats and noon and 9pm central time. There will be lots of fun and goodies to be had! Hints as to what the kit will be can be found on my blog as well as the other wallpaper so be sure to check it out and definitely be sure to stop over on Monday!

Template Challenge #14

Time for another awesome template challenge! Here's the template I made:


This is my example. I used the Beautiful World kit by Creative Dreams for this layout about my new camper.



Then I took the same template and papers, turned it sideways, and made the right side of the layout with the rest of my photos and journaling.




Here is something I've never done for a template challenge. I have a freebie (besides the template) for you! If you download the template, use it, and post your layout in the Creative Dreams Gallery, and post in this thread on the fabulous message board, I'll PM you the link to download this authentic Alaskan Fireweed in png format.

A couple April challenges

A couple of new April challenges are up in the forums. First off I am hostessing another Quick Page Exchange this month and decided to go with a bright and cheerful kit called Popsicle Paradise. It can be gotten here and here. When you make a quickpage and send it to me you will receive ALL of the quickpages for the month, early in May. And here is one that I have made to get us started.

I am also bringing the color challenge back to Creative Dreams. I have picked a color palette and would love to see what you can do with it! Just for participating ... this month only you will receive not one but 2 posting bonuses!
